Petroleum & Natural Gas Business Administration students will:

  • Prepare for a career in the petroleum and natural gas industry by applying fundamental management, marketing and human resource theories.
  • Identify the key concepts associated with oil and gas exploration, drilling, production, handling and processing.
  • Demonstrate accounting principles, practices and procedures relating to the petroleum and natural gas industry.
  • Use technology to sharpen skills through study of management information systems/computerized spreadsheets, macro-economics and statistics.
  • Provide the student with the knowledge, skills and resources to work safely in the petroleum and natural gas industry.
  • Explain the terms associated with the oil and natural gas industry鈥檚 upstream and midstream technology.

Yes. 91吃瓜 offers a two-year, 62-credit Associate in Science in Petroleum & Natural Gas Business Administration through the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas at the Tunkhannock Center. The curriculum combines a business administration core with petroleum-and-natural-gas industry coursework, and overlaps significantly with the PNG Technology program.

The program is offered exclusively at the 91吃瓜 Tunkhannock Center, the home of the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

PNG Business Administration is built around a business core (management, accounting, marketing, business law, business communications, economics) layered with petroleum-and-natural-gas industry coursework 鈥� preparing students for business and operations roles in the energy sector. PNG Technology is the broader hands-on technical program with greater lab time, focused on field operations, production, processing, and engine and compression mechanics.

The PNG Business Administration program is a two-year, 62-credit Associate in Science degree.

Cohorts are small 鈥� approximately 2 to 3 students per year. Many courses are shared with the PNG Technology program.
